Opinel Carbon

A pocket knife whose design has not changed since 1890. The OPINEL Carbon knife is available in 10 different sizes and easily adapts to different hand sizes and uses. Carbon steel has played a role in the brand's success. This is the original steel used by the company, the steel that Joseph Opinel used when he created the first folding knife. The carbon steel blade is characterized by its exceptional sharpness and how easy it is to sharpen. Carbon steel knives are ideal for DIYers, gardeners, sculptors or even dowsers. The blade requires specific care to avoid the risk of corrosion. OPINEL Carbon knives are equipped with a beech wood handle and a Virobloc safety lock that secures the blade in the open or closed position.

MADE IN FRANCE
More than 130 years ago, Joseph Opinel invented the pocket knife that still bears his name in a small Savoyard village. The company, still run by Joseph Opinel's descendants, manufactures products ranging from small pocket knives to kitchen and cutlery knives and gardening tools in Chambéry, in the heart of the French Alps.

OPINEL knives have won over generations of users with their appearance and functionality, their design has remained unchanged for over a century and is one of the most successful of all time. In 1985, OPINEL was awarded by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best designed products in the world, alongside the Porsche 911 and Rolex watches.
