Hammershøi Poppy is an extension of the popular Kähler Hammershøi collection, designed by Hans-Christian Bauer. Rikke Jacobsen has decorated the white porcelain with a beautiful watercolor poppy decor. Hammershøi Poppy is a poetic interpretation of the poppy in a delicate watercolor on classic white Hammershøi porcelain. The spacious teapot with a brass handle captures the life cycle of the poppy from the beautiful flower on the front to the bud on the other side of the teapot. With this teapot, your tea ritual will blossom. Get even more opportunities to see the poetry of poppies, complement the teapot with Hammershøi Poppy cups or mugs, or use it in combination with classic, white Hammershøi tableware.

 The Hammershøi Poppy collection presents modern floral serving with the captivating beauty of the poppy. The poppy is a flower that hides great strength and fragility. You can see it everywhere in the Danish countryside, where it bravely resists the wind and elements, but once picked, it becomes sensitive and loses its petals after a short time. Thanks to its delicate charm, the Hammershøi Poppy collection immediately gained many fans - and is constantly expanding with several specially designed pieces for unique gatherings: a teapot, a cup and saucer, plain mugs, plates, vases, a candlestick, a tablecloth - and later also egg cups and mini vases in the same poetic motif of delicate pink poppies full of life and movement, just like the rest of the dinner service.

The motifs of the Hammershøi Poppy collection were created by artist Rikke Jacobsen, who worked with the beauty of the poppy and actively used everything from the stem, through the first buds to the fully blossomed flower. With fantastic detail, the poppies wrap around the white Hammershøi servingware and create a beautiful contrast to the simple design of the porcelain. But Hammershøi Poppy does not only radiate beauty, but also quality and craftsmanship. The Danish design brand KÄHLER has a long and fascinating history. It dates back to 1839, when Herman J. Kähler opened a ceramics workshop in the Danish town of Næstved. Later, his sons took over the business and that is when the real success story began. They began experimenting with shapes and different types of glazes, attracting a number of renowned designers to the workshop.
