The 2023 collector's item commemorates 75 years since the original Zippo car first hit the roads and captured the hearts of onlookers across America.
Inspired by the "product-mobile" show, Zippo founder George G. Blaisdell had a Chrysler Saratoga completely converted into a pair of larger-than-life Zippo lighters in 1947. He then toured the 48 states with them, dazzling showgoers and trade show attendees wherever he went.
This Armor® High Polish Black collector's item depicts the iconic Zippo car in all its glory using a 360° Photo Image process that transfers the motif to all sides of the lighter. Using Laser Two-Tone technology, the Zippo flame and 75th Anniversary icon are revealed in luxurious brass tones, while the car's chimney is illuminated by a shimmering crystal selected especially for the European edition.
Finally, for the first time ever, the gold-plated insert features a repeating Zippo motif, setting this collector's item apart from all others before it. Each Zippo lighter has its own serial number, is embossed with Luxury on the bottom and comes in a special collector's box. 70 of the 4,500 pieces of this limited edition are reserved for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
