In 1956, Zippo introduced the Slim lighter, a major milestone. This slightly smaller version of the Zippo lighter was designed to appeal to women. Over time, this shape became a successful unisex model for a wide range of customers.
Slim lighters fit into any pocket, even the smallest, and are optimally shaped so you can always have them with you. In terms of functionality, they are comparable to traditional lighters. Slim lighters are filled with gasoline, have a throttle wheel that creates large sparks and a cap that makes a classic metallic sound. They are 3 cm wide and 1 cm thick. The height remains the same as that of classic gasoline lighters, i.e. 5.5 cm.
Like all gasoline-powered Zippo lighters, all Slim models are made in the USA by a single factory in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
