The Danish design brand KÄHLER has a long and fascinating history. It dates back to 1839, when Herman J. Kähler opened a ceramics workshop in the Danish town of Næstved. Later, his sons took over the business and that is when the real success story began. They began experimenting with shapes and different types of glazes, attracting a number of renowned designers to the workshop. This gradually led to international recognition and the KÄHLER brand continued to grow.

With over 180 years of experience in traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship and design, KÄHLER is now owned by architect Frantz Longhi, who shaped the brand into its current form. KÄHLER is best known for its ceramic range, such as vases, dinnerware and candlesticks.
