Jim Beam® Original goes through the same distillation and production process as bourbons produced more than 200 years ago. Bourbon whiskey must contain at least 51% corn and must be matured in new charred barrels, which can only be made of American white oak. Another condition is the origin - it must come from the United States of America, specifically from Bourbon County in the state of Kentucky. Each barrel of bourbon must spend at least 4 years in the cellar. More than 10 million barrels have been produced since the end of American Prohibition.
