Kähler Hammershøi pastry basket 29.5 x 20 cm, green

The elegant bread and pastry basket from the Hammershøi collection by Danish brand Kähler is made of olive green bioplastic with a matte finish. Functional holes on the sides of the bowl serve to store a bread knife, so you always have it at hand when you need to cut fresh baguettes, rolls and other favorite pastries. The white cloth napkin that is included helps to present the pastries attractively, and the characteristic ridges on the outside of the bowl coordinate beautifully with other dishes from the Hammershøi collection. The bread basket was created by Hans-Christian Bauer, who designed the entire Hammershøi collection with great respect for Kähler's artistic heritage, design history and craftsmanship tradition.

The Danish design brand KÄHLER has a long and fascinating history. It dates back to 1839, when Herman J. Kähler opened a ceramics workshop in the Danish town of Næstved. Later, his sons took over the business and that is when the real success story began. They began experimenting with shapes and different types of glazes, attracting a number of renowned designers to the workshop. This gradually led to international recognition and the KÄHLER brand continued to grow.
