The Japanese gave the world a large rice spoon , its name shamoji literally means rice paddle. Compared to the traditional tool, the silicone rice spoon from Staub has small plastic protrusions on the surface that prevent individual grains from slipping, which is why it is very good for serving and mixing rice. It is also suitable for serving dishes with couscous , buckwheat, millet or even groats . And surprisingly, this spoon also perfectly portions ice cream .

Due to the naturally treated solid wood , from which the upper parts of the handles are made, the manufacturer recommends only hand washing .
